How it works

One or more of our senior experts visits your property as a genuine guest — with no prior warning to staff. We book through your normal channels, arrive as any guest would, and assess every touchpoint of the experience as it actually unfolds. You get reality, not a prepared performance.

The visit covers one or two days depending on the complexity of your operation. For courses with hotel, lodge or resort facilities, we stay on site. Every interaction — from the first phone call to the post-round experience — is observed and documented.

What we assess

Before arrival

We begin before we set foot on your property. We review your online reputation, audit your website and booking flow, and assess the gap between what you promise and what guests find. Ratings on Leading Courses, Top 100, Google, Tripadvisor, and other relevant platforms are all reviewed.

On site

During the visit we assess the full guest journey: booking confirmation and pre-arrival communication, arrival and reception, starter and marshal interaction, playing experience across one or two rounds, pace of play, routing, course signage and on-course service, the pro shop, restaurant and bar experience, and — where applicable — hotel, lodge or resort facilities.

We assess not just whether things work, but whether they delight. The standard we apply is the one your guests apply — the best hospitality experiences they have had, anywhere in the world.

Reporting & output

Following the visit you receive a detailed written report covering your top five strengths, your top five improvement opportunities, staff and process feedback, and a prioritised action plan that distinguishes between quick wins and longer-term strategic gains. We also provide guidance on next steps, including panellist visits where relevant.

Who conducts the visit

Every visit is conducted by a recognised industry expert with 15 to 30+ years of genuine experience. We never use junior auditors or trainees. Depending on the scope of your operation, the visit may be conducted by one expert or a small team. Our core team — Leonard van Nunen, Jeroen Korving and Alfred Eeltink — brings together deep expertise in golf, digital, hospitality and guest experience.

Pricing scales with complexity — number of holes, rooms, F&B outlets and overall guest touchpoints. Travel costs are treated as a provisional item and excluded from service fees.
